I'm not doing a holiday letter this year.

Frankly, I'm kind of tired of doing them. Every year people expect me to come up with some original theme. And you know what? It's hard. Year after year, trying to think of something original.

This year, I've got nothing.

Plus, I'm just not in the whole holiday frame of mind. I'm feeling kind of Scroogey, if you want to know the truth. All the commercialism, all the hype, and for what? So we can all fuel the economy with our gift-buying? What's the use?

Besides, nothing interesting happened this year. I really don't have anything to share.

So if you were hoping for something fun, something memorable, something clever, sorry to disappoint you, but I'm not going to do it this year.

I'm not going to tell you about my kitchen remodel. Except check out these before and after pics.  Or about my vacation in Oregon. But you can read about it in my blog and take a look at the awesome pics from week one and week two. And if you think I'm going to tell you how I went to Florida for training and earned Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate in SQL Server 2012, you can just forget it. But here's the certificate, and here are some pics.

As for all the other stuff that happened this year, well, it's all boring stuff (with pictures) that I wouldn't tell you about even if I were doing a holiday letter this year, which I'm not.

And since I'm not doing a holiday letter, I'm also not sending you any sincere season's greetings or heart-felt messages of peace or wishes for a good 2014. Except this.

Happy Holidays
